MATERNAL STRESS DURING PREGNANCY AND PERINATAL PERIOD CAN HAVE LASTING EFFECTS OF CHILD NEUROBEHAVIORAL DEVELOPMENT & HEALTH (COPE STUDY, 2020). DURING LOCKDOWN MOTHERS LACK SOCIAL, LOCAL & FAMILY SUPPORT; SO THEY HAVE TO ASSUME OVERWHELMING CHILD CARE & HOUSEHOLD DUTIES. THE OUTCOME OF THIS SITUATION IS RAISING LEVELS OF STRESS, FEELINGS OF ISOLATION, DEFENCELESS, DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY. THEREFORE, MOTHER’S NEEDS MUST ALSO BE PRIORITISED AND ADDRESSED PROPERLY. MOTHER ARE NOT HEROES, BUT ALSO HUMAN BEINGS.
